About The Pause Practice
Hi, I’m Manya - an ACA Registered Counsellor and the founder of The Pause Practice.
I created The Pause Practice from a simple belief: everyone deserves a space where they can slow down, feel heard, and work through life’s challenges without judgement.
I work with adolescents, young adults and adults, including NDIS participants, supporting people with a wide range of emotional, social and personal challenges. This may include anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, relationship and family difficulties, self-esteem, identity, neurodivergence, life transitions, and navigating the everyday complexities that come with being human.
My approach to counselling is warm, collaborative and person-centred. I believe counselling should feel like a genuine conversation, a space where you can be yourself, speak openly and explore what is happening for you without feeling judged or pressured.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt sessions to the individual. Our work together might involve understanding patterns in your thoughts and emotions, developing practical coping and emotional regulation strategies, exploring relationships and experiences, recognising your strengths, or working towards goals that are meaningful to you.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, going through a period of change, or simply looking for someone to talk to, we can start wherever you are.
